“On one of the sculptures of Annette Hurst, Katia Engel creates through her small-scale projection of the video CLEMGIA a window-like situation. The wild mountain stream Clemgia, which flows into the river Inn close to Nairs/Switzerland, seems in the video almost still. The water line, which appears white in the video, dividing the rocks into two halves, is moving very subtle. Only in the rushing noise of the water, we can comprehend the whole power and real existence of this place. Despite the focus on one concrete place, emphasized through using the name of the mountain stream in the title, the work opens an universal dimension through its constant passing of time.”

In einer von Annette Hurst provisorischen Bauten öffnet sich mit Katia Engels kleiner Projektion CLEMGIA ein Durchblick. Der wilde Bergbach Clemgia, der nahe bei Nairs in den Inn mündet, erscheint im Bild fast still. Die im Video weiss erscheinende Wasserlinie, die den Fels bezeichnet und in zwei Teile trennt, bewegt sich nur leicht. Erst im Rauschen offenbart sich die ganze Kraft dieses realen, greifbaren und gegenwärtigen Ortes. Trotz dieser konkreten Verortung, die mit der Benennung des Bachs im Titel betont wird, eröffnet sich aber im unablässigen Verrinnen der Zeit eine universelle Dimension.”
